About Paul Michael’s Walking & Visitor Guides
Paul Michael is a walking photographer who writes walking / hiking and visitor guides based upon his own outings and experience.

I write about my walks, providing details of the routes and various options of things to see and do along the way. My walking guides are both informative and detailed enough to support a safe excursion.
My visitor guides are about places I have stayed or know well. I research the history and interesting aspects of the locations I write about.
As an experienced photographer and walker, I write hints, tips and suggestions for photography and hiking / walking. There is also a chitter-chatter section for anything else I fancy writing about.
Paul Michael’s Experience?
I got into hiking in my early teens with schemes like Duke of Edinburgh. This was mostly on Dartmoor with a map and a compass. While I still like moorland hikes, I’m also captivated by coastal seascapes and villages.
I’ve worked in IT for over 35 years, so I like to include a little tech in my photography and walking guides.
I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. In my teens, I started taking a more serious interest and realised that I favour landscapes over portraiture or abstract. I now have over 40 years of experience.
